The fifth annual National Flash Trial Competition will take place September 10-13, 2026, in San Francisco.

There will be four preliminary rounds, with two in a “2 v. 2” format and two in a “1 v. 1” format. In true flash trial style, each round will feature a different case, and advocates will have no more than an hour to prepare. After the preliminary rounds, the top four teams will advance to semifinals, and the semifinal winners will advance to finals. All rounds will take place at JAMS’ state-of-the-art arbitration and mediation facilities.  

Coaches and advocates are invited to attend a welcome dinner on Thursday, September 10, and a celebratory banquet on Saturday, September 12.  The registration fee is $800 per team.
